Suzlon Eyes New Wind Turbine Factory in Europe

Pune, May 12, 2026 – Suzlon Energy is considering setting up a new wind turbine manufacturing factory in Europe to serve the growing renewable energy market on the continent.

The Indian company is evaluating possible locations and has started early discussions with European governments and industry partners. The proposed plant would manufacture onshore wind turbines and related components for the European market.

Suzlon aims to meet rising demand for wind energy equipment in Europe, driven by the region’s clean energy targets. A local factory would help the company reduce delivery times, lower costs, and better serve customers.

A senior Suzlon executive said the company sees strong opportunities in Europe. He added that a manufacturing presence there would support Suzlon’s global growth plans and strengthen its position as a reliable supplier.

The proposed factory would focus on advanced turbine models suitable for European wind conditions. It would create local jobs and support the supply of equipment for new wind power projects across the region.

Suzlon already has a global footprint with installations in several countries. This move would mark its first full manufacturing facility in Europe.

Suzlon Energy is one of India’s leading wind turbine manufacturers. The company has supplied thousands of megawatts of wind power capacity in India and abroad. The wind energy sector continues to expand worldwide as countries work to increase renewable power and reduce carbon emissions. A European plant would help Suzlon compete more effectively in one of the world’s most developed renewable energy markets.
